Meet Zee
Zee Hamid is the Member of Provincial Parliament for Milton and the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Finance. A former three-term elected Town councillor, Zee has dedicated a significant portion of his adult life to advocating for the well-being of Milton, ensuring it remains an exceptional place to live, work and nurture a family. Together, with his wife and blended family of six children, he enthusiastically calls Milton his home and is proud to represent his community at Queens’ Park.
Originally from Karachi, Pakistan, Zee immigrated to Canada as a teenager. His academic journey led him to earn a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. Before he embraced the world of politics, Zee enjoyed a successful tenure in the technology sector holding significant positions at industry powerhouses such as Microsoft and Amazon.
Beyond politics, Zee is avid community servant, volunteering with various local organizations including The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton, Milton Public Library, and Milton Economic Development. He has also held board positions with Halton Healthcare, Conservation Halton, Halton Community Housing Corporation, and Community Development of Halton North.
Zee’s fundraising efforts have raised thousands of dollars for various initiatives, including mental health support. Notably, Zee undertook a motorcycle journey of 3,686 km around Lake Superior to raise awareness and funds for mental health services, advocating for increased accessibility and the removal of financial barriers. To date, he has raised over $80,000 in Milton through his various fundraising initiatives.
